Ekaterina Degot:
Ekaterian Degot, Art Director at the Akademie der Kûnste der Welt in Cologne, is an art historian, art writer, and curator whose work focuses on aesthetic and sociopolitical issues in Russia, predominantly in the post-Soviet era. She has taught at the European University, St. Petersburg, was a guest professor at various American and European Universities and teaches at the Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia and Moscow State University. She has worked as a senior curator at the State Tretyakov Gallery, curated the Russian pavillion at the Venice biennial, the Indsutrial biennial in Ekaterinburg and other major projects. Her books include: Terroristic Naturalism (1998), Russian 20th-Century Art (2000), and Moscow Conceptualism (2005) as well as the recently co-edited Post-Post-Soviet?: Art, Politics and Society in Russia at the Turn of the Decade (2013).
