Career event organized by the Study and Career Guidance unit and international master students
How to
apply simple networking methods to make it easier to find
internships,
summer jobs and other career opportunities.
Often
underrated, networking is actually much more important than it appears. Studies
in evolutionary biology highlight that networks of interconnected communities
helped make our species more successful, so we are effectively hardwired for
networking. In this virtual workshop, influencing expert Andrew Hennigan
explains why networking is important and then presents a simple, repeatable
method for building a network that is designed to resonate with academics. This
approach will help you to find career opportunities, influence other people and
become more productive without having to rely on awkward mingles.
Based in
Stockholm, Andrew Hennigan has been teaching networking and influencing skills
in business schools, universities, companies and organizations for more than 20
years. He has written many articles and posts on networking topics and is the
author of the book “Payforward Networking”.
